Rather than simply responding "yes" she spoke from her own vain "imag"inations, "You shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die"! (II Corinthians 10:5, Romans 1:21)

TRUTH - IS - ! There - IS - no testimony that reveals ELOHIM said "neither shall you touch it"! (Genesis 3:1-3; 2:16-17)

And the serpent responded to her "imag"ined(mankind's "imag"ination - IS - 'Devil's playground) response; "You surely shall not die....... For ELOHIM knows that in the day you eat thereof your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." (Genesis 3:4-5)

"And when the woman saw("imag"ined) that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and ("imag"ined it was) a tree that would make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat!" (Genesis 3:6)
