We have heard that some of our number who visited with you have troubled you with their teaching, subverting your souls, and saying you must be circumcised and keep the law, although we gave them no such commandment.

So it seemed good to us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul. Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Master, The Messiah. So we have sent Judas and Silas, who also by word of mouth will confirm the same things that we have written.

For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things.

Abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood(?Rightly translated bloodshed!?), and from things strangled(Blood(life) was yet in the meat!), and from fornication, from which if you keep yourselves, you will do well. Farewell!"

So the bearers of the letter were sent on their way and they came to Antioch, and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the letter.

And when the letter was read, everyone rejoiced for the consolation"! (Acts 15:13-31)
