The center, the focus of "catholicism", and the multitude of religious systems that declare themselves to be "christian", is their version of The Messiah which they call their "christ".
Yet it seems the center, the focal point and desire of those who would follow The Messiah on "the narrow way", would be the same focus and desire that The Messiah had.
And The Messiah's focus and desire?
The Messiah's focus was on "His GOD and Father" and The Messiah's "GOD and Father" IS also "The GOD and Father" of The Messiah's brethren. (John 20:17)
The Messiah testified:
John 5:19 "Then answered The Messiah and said unto them, Truly, Truly, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of His own self, but what He see's The Father do, for whatever The Father does, The Son does likewise."
John 12:49-50 "I have not spoken of myself, but The Father WHO sent Me, HE gave Me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
And I know that HIS commandment is Life Everlasting, therefore whatever I speak, even as The Father said unto Me, so I speak."
John 17:8 "For I have given unto them The Words which YOU gave Me, and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from YOU, and they have believed that YOU did send Me."
And the focus of The Messiah was on Heavenly things, that which is Spirit, that which is Eternal, for The Good News that The Messiah bore witness unto was "The Kingdom of Heaven(GOD) is at hand"!
And The Messiah desired above all else:
"Father, not My will, But THY Will Be Done"!
And The Messiah after He "arose from among the dead" testified, "I ascend unto My Father and your Father, unto My GOD and your GOD".......(John20:17)
Father Help! and HE does.......
And your focus? Your desire?
Peace, in spite of the dis-ease(confusion) that is of this world and it's systems of religion, for "The WHOLE world is under the control of the evil one"(1 John 5:19) indeed and Truth.......(1 John 5:19)
Thankfully Truth IS, a lie never was and is not.......
