"Behold, these are the ungodly, they prosper in the world, they increase in riches." (Psalms 73:12)
And "The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted." (Psalms 12:8)
In the past year there has been many "well to do" folk who have promised to "give away half of their riches(money)".
That brought back memories of a time some 25 years ago.
i can relate to those rich folk because at that time i was tempted with "riches" and i also believed i would give half of those 'riches' away. And yes, at that time i considered such would be a righteous act ;-(
i had developed the first functioning, viable system of that which today has become a multi-billion dollar business. There were articles written concerning the new system that were published in trade magazine and technological publications. And ibm sure wanted to do whatever they could for me so that i might join them in their quest for "riches" ;-(
Thankfully "the love of The Truth" i had received prior to that time kept me from my own desires.
Thankfully my desire for those "riches" which were mine for the taking wasn't worth as much to me as that "love of The Truth" i had received! That's not how i would have phrased it back then when i came out from among those who served "the father of lies", yet that was the way it was, in spite of me!
Not that i was required to lie, but just have my portion with the liars. And as i had proceeded on the "broad way" to "riches", the liars seemed to appear out of nowhere and surround me ;-( Kind of a "i'll scratch your back if you scratch mine" mentality ;-(
Thankfully, in spite of me, Our Father gave me the strength to say "NO MORE", and i could no longer have my portion with the greedy lairs, deceivers, and those who would give or take a bribe as they followed the "broad way that leads to destruction"!
Thankfully, in spite of me, all that i had worked for and dreamed about came to an end!
So it is that "i know and am persuaded that HE(Our Father) IS able to keep me", and firmly establish The Truth of "THY Will, not my will be done" within my being.......
Our Father knows best indeed and Truth, and so it is that the brethren of The Messiah must be willing to suffer the loss of all things, yes, and our own life as well, just as The Messiah did!
Let the suffering begin, for "Love suffers long" indeed and Truth.......
Father Help! and HE does.......
And it remains just as The Messiah testified, "Woe unto you who are rich! for you have received your consolation." (Luke 6:24)
"And then The Messiah said unto his disciples, "Truly I say unto you that a rich man shall hardly enter into The Kingdom of Heaven". And again I say unto you, "It is easier for a rope to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into The Kingdom of GOD"." (Matthew 19:23-24)
"HE(GOD) has filled the hungry with good things(Truth, Love, Faith, Hope,,,,), and the rich HE has sent away empty." (Luke 1:53)
And today we have the rich believing "righteousness" is in giving half of what they are "worth" away ;-(
And The Messiah testified, "Whoever of you that does not forsake all that he has, he can not be my disciple".......(Luke 14:33)
Father Help! and HE does.......
Peace, in spite of the dis-ease's(lies) that are of this world and it's systems of religion. for "the WHOLE(not just a portion) is under the control of the evil one" indeed and Truth.......(1John5:19)
